Help strike out lung cancer

In the Raleigh-Durham-RTP area this summer? Just go to a Durham Bulls baseball game any Sun-Thu, or on Aug. 30 for Lung Cancer Awareness Night in particular, and they will donate 50% of your ticket price (just $9) to benefit lung cancer. I've gone to see the Bulls play at home before, and we've always had a great time.

If you're on Facebook, you can RSVP for the event here. Get your tickets through any of the NC Lung Cancer Partnership organizers!

  1. I am part of a team that helps healthcare professionals find wellness program workers. I want to volunteer and tell the survivors of lung cancer about some products that will keep them healthy.

My grandma died 1 yr and 3 months ago from pancreatic cancer that led to lung cancer. I want to give back. Please allow me to do so.

  2. Maria, I am sorry to hear about your grandma. Your interest in giving back, in her memory, is commendable. I looked at your Market America site; I see your full name there, but no products. We at DISCover A Cure are neither healthcare professionals nor wellness program workers. Also, unfortunately, we do not personally know any survivors of lung cancer ... only too many people who have died from it. I am afraid that we cannot be of help to you. Good luck with your endeavors.

There are some Lungevity events in NJ and NY this year, if it's not too far for you: see http://events.lungevity.org/site/PageServer?pagename=events, i.e. http://www.southjersey-lungcancer-walk.org, and http://www.everybreathcounts.org/. Volunteers are almost always very much needed for these activities. Some of these events have links at the bottom of the page for donations of products, if you might be interested in that.
